Hyaluronidase is an enzyme used in aesthetic medicine to dissolve unwanted or incorrectly placed hyaluronic acid fillers. It works by breaking down hyaluronic acid molecules, allowing the body to naturally remove them.
The treatment is performed both for aesthetic corrections and in urgent cases where filler has caused complications (such as lumps, asymmetry, or vascular compromise).

What is it?
Patch Test โ Safety First
Because hyaluronidase is an enzyme that can, in rare cases, cause allergic reactions, a patch test is performed before treatment. A small amount of the enzyme is injected under the skin to check tolerance. Only if the test is negative can the full procedure be carried out.
When to expect results?
- Dissolving of the filler can be seen within 24โ48 hours after injection.
- In some cases, more than one session may be required, depending on the amount and type of filler to be removed.
How long do the results last?
Once dissolved, the filler is permanently removed. The skin returns to its natural state, and a new filler treatment can be planned if desired (usually after a few weeks, once the tissue has recovered).
